Travel Grant Applications are now CLOSED. 

We are currently seeking sponsorship to support travel grants assisting young women with financial need to attend the conference.

A limited number of travel grants will be awarded to delegates of the 2nd Young Women Affected by Breast Cancer Conference. These grants are intended for young women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and who would be unable to attend the Conference without financial assistance.

Travel Grant includes:
Registration for the Conference plus two nights twin share accommodation at the conference venue (Radisson Resort Gold Coast) and /or subsidised travel costs up to a total of $400 (excl. GST) per delegate.

Due to the limited number of travel grants available, Conference delegates are also encouraged to seek travel grant assistance from other sources such as local community groups, for example: Rotary, Lions Club, Zonta and state Cancer Council organisations.

Requirements:
The online application form must be completed and received by Cancer Council Queensland by Friday June 11, 2010.

Preference will be given to applicants who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and would be unable to attend the conference without financial assistance.

Applicants must be Australian Residents.

Successful applicants will be required to make their own travel arrangements and will be reimbursed from the travel grant monies. Registration and accommodation bookings will be made by Cancer Council Queensland on behalf of the travel grant recipient.

The Conference Committee will review all applications and applicants will be advised of the outcome by Wednesday 30 June, 2010.
